Japanに住んでる人のことを「Japanese 」というように、
Maltaに住んでる人のことは「Maltese (マルチーズ)」と呼びます。

最初に聞いた時は
「え？！犬のマルチーズのこと話してるの⁉️?」
と思ったけど、マルタ人のことでした?

ちなみに犬の「マルチーズ」の種名は、
ここ「マルタ島」が由来してるらしいですよっ?
…マルタにはマルチーズ犬はいないらしいけど???
(ややこしい)

As we call the people who lives In Japan as “Japanese “, the people who lives in Malta are called “Maltese”.

At first I heard the world “Maltese”, I thought it was a kind of dogs!! But it was wrong ?

Anyway, the name of the dog’s “Maltese” has come from here Malta!!
