??Aujourd’hui nous vous souhaitons une #BonneSemaine en partageant avec vous ce ‘Portrait d’un homme’ peint par Alexandre Roslin au XVIIIe siècle. Célèbre pour sa représentation des tissus et des bijoux, Roslin était d’ailleurs un protégé de François Boucher, l’artiste dans l’atelier duquel a été peint le portrait que nous avons posté lundi dernier. Il a illustré principalement la noblesse et l’aristocratie française et il est donc devenu l’un des plus riches artistes en France à l’époque. C’était sa capacité à saisir l’essence des personnalités qui l’a rendu si populaire parmi ses clients, et il a même portraituré des membres de la famille royale !

?Today we want to wish you a #GoodWeek and share with you this ‘Portrait of a man’ painted by Alexandre Roslin in the XVIII century. Famous for his portrayal of fabrics and jewels, Roslin was in fact a protégé of Francois Boucher, the artist who painted the portrait that we posted last Monday. He primarily painted the nobility and French aristocracy and consequently became one of the wealthiest artists in France at the time. It was his ability to capture personality that made him so popular amongst clients and he even painted members of the royal family.
