Twisting up some 400 layer Damascus billets today for a #JJFU Damascus Cisco 1911. It’s pretty tough stuff! Even at yellow hot I could only go a half turn at a time. Four turns total per piece. So 8 heats per billet. Snails pace but worth it. Once I square them up and draw them out. Probably go to 1200 layers. Should make for a Beautiful pistol. We’ll see!?!... #jessejames
