#QueenSugar Season 2. What a wild ride... Been quietly reflecting for the last couple days on what it has meant to me. And really, from the moment it started, this season has grown me, challenged me, broken me and built me in ways that I can't begin to articulate. The last few months were no exception, with the onslaught of national events and personal events that have asked me to question fundamentally who I am and who I am becoming. And to have the space every Wed night to join the fans of the show in that same conversation... It has truly been a priceless experience.

Unending thanks and love to the #QueenSugar fans, who have loved us into existence and are truly ride-or-die... Thank you for journeying with Charley, for hurting with her, learning from her, growing with her, cheering for her. She is an ode to the revolutionary women of my life - the ones who take up space with no apology, and it is truly an honor to inhabit her every time. ALWAYS thank you to @ava and @オプラ・ウィンフリー for giving us the opportunity to tell stories we can believe in, care about, give our whole selves to, and for being the revolutionary women with whom it all begins. Thank you to our SECOND full line-up of brilliant women directors who took care of our stories as though they were their own. Thank you to the QS Writers' room, whose passion for these characters and commitment to truth can be felt through the page.
