Women supporting women ❤️ . We created #SheHerdPower because conversations surrounding sexual violence have gained considerable momentum in the past few years as increasing numbers of women gain the courage to speak out against their perpetrators. However, this belies the longstanding and insidious nature of the issue. Ingrained societal perceptions of rape victims have served as barriers to reporting, prosecution, and even discussion of the issue. Many victims have been bullied and shamed into silence, as we've seen especially this week with the overwhelming numbers of women the disgusting #Weinstein assaulted.
SheHerdPower’s programs are about reclaiming that inner voice - which hopes to help prosecute perpetrators, establish consequences, and overcome the terrifying statistics.
