1. If you live near the fires decimating Northern CA counties, be aware that wild animals are fleeing the fires and they may show up in your yard. The Forestry Department urges you to bring your domestic animals in at night and let the wild ones pass through. Please put out buckets of water for them -- they're scared, exhausted, have lost their homes, and need to refuel.

2. Some people are too scared to get help during these fires for fear of being deported. Elsie Allen High in Santa Rosa is offering a safe haven for people to safely go during this time and assuring no one will be deported. Everyone is suffering and we must be there for the most vulnerable people in our communities.
