Photographer friendly skies were plagued with smoke from Canadian wildfires during my time at Mt. Rainier. While smoke can sometimes work in a photographer's favor adding softer light and better color, it almost seemed to cloud the mountain at times, where we almost couldn't see it from just a couple miles away. However on one evening, strong winds pushed the smoke away, which allowed the sun to bathe some high atmosphere clouds with amazing colors.
