さて、今回の旅は、これでとりあえず一区切りかな…。本当に貴重な経験を、たくさんすることができたなぁ。最後は、Boyz ll Men のショーン。とにかく優しい人。今回一番、製作中に普通な世間話をしたかな（笑）そのくらい世界のトップスターになっても、ナチュラルを忘れない人。昔観たDVDの中の、ショーンの言葉で忘れられない言葉がある。"決して大きな声で歌わなくても伝わる歌がある。だから、そっと寄り添うように届けたい…。" 確かそんな事を言っていた。
自分はどちらかといえば、強い声のタイプの歌手ではなかったので、この言葉には本当に救われた…。その人と一緒に曲が作れるなんて。B2Mと初めてコラボした直後、EXILEのツアーMONSTERにフラッと遊びにきてくれたのも、一緒にお酒を飲んだのも、彼が最初だった。マライア キャリーとのOne Sweet Dayのメロディを作った時も、ショーンのセンスが大きく関わっていたとか…。今でも全米16週間連続1位という記録は破られていない。そんなスペシャルな方々と、顔見知りになれたことだけでも奇跡だと思う。だからこそ、そのご縁を生かすも潰すのも、結局自分次第だと思う。ショーンに聞かれた。"今までに歌ったことのないトピックは何かあるか⁈" と…。僕は答えた。"世界の人種の事については、まだ歌った事がない…。"そんな大きなテーマが果たして自分に歌えるかは分からない。しかし自分の心の中に、静かに眠っている想いがあることは確かだ。まるで、ショーンと僕が出逢えて、そして一緒に音楽を作っているこの瞬間の様に、異国の地で育った人間同士でも、きっと分かり合えると信じていたい。そして、とても優しい曲ができた。彼の大きな優しさと、僕のほんの小さな希望を込めて。ショーン、こんな僕と曲を作ってくれて、そして仲良くしてくれて本当にありがとう。この曲がみなさんの心に、そっと優しく寄り添う日が、きっと来ると思う…。その日を夢見て…。そろそろ一度、日本に帰ります。待ってくださっているみなさん、本当にありがとう。みなさんのおかげで、僕はこんなにもステキな経験をできているから。.
The final job for this time around… Throughout this trip I was able to experience something really special. Here's Shawn from Boyz II Men. Such a friendly guy. I probably chatted with him the most. No matter how famous he becomes, a person that’s always natural and humble. I’ll never forget the words he said during one of his interviews. “There’s no need to always sing out loud because there are songs that’ll touch people's hearts." I am the type of singer who doesn't have a strong voice, so his words really saved me. The first time I collaborated with B2M, he was the one that came to see EXILE’s MONSTER TOUR and the first member I drank with was Shawn. Shawn’s melody line ideas played an important role for the song One Sweet Day with Mariah Carey. No one has still yet to beat the record of 16 weeks ranked in 1st place. It’s a miracle that I have the opportunity to get to know him, that’s why I didn’t want to waste this chance. He asked me if I had a certain topic I wanted to sing about. So I told him I’ve never sang about world race. I met Shawn years ago and now I’m making a song with him. We were born in different lands but I feel that there’s a mutual understanding. We came up with a beautiful song. With Shawn's big heart and my positive outlook. Thank you.
