There comes a time in life when one must be honest and speak from the heart. As most of you know, my mom and I have been working on this cause to end declawing for the last 3 1/2 years. It's been mostly 16 hr days, 7 days a week. We know that we've made a positive difference & saved some cats from this cruelty and abuse. But I'm sad to say that it's taken a toll on us in so many ways. Every single day we get notes and heads up about declawed kitties that are suffering. We try to help everyone but can't. ?? Day in and day out we see such unethical and truly appalling things from declawing vets who took and oath to ease suffering in animals and from cat owners who supposedly love their cats. It is truly beyond comprehension and belief. ? We could have chased the money & stayed a "neutral" cat & posted just happy and funny photos but we chose to devote our lives to this important cause because around 5000 cats a day in America are being mutilated and maimed for life by being declawed. My mom has been having to empty her 401K to devote all her time to this cause. I know she's old but she's not that old and needs that money for when she's, well....really old. Most organizations doing animal causes full-time get donations but we've never asked for a penny that way. What we have done is to try to offer things that would get the word out about the cause and that you might like so that part of the sales could go to helping us to be able to keep working.
