WOW!
I just heard great news that my solo show, Murakami by Murakami, which just closed the other day at the Astrup Fearnley Museet in Oslo, Norway, drew a record number of visitors for the museum at 88,000.
I believe Norway’s population is roughly 5,300,000 and Oslo's (the municipality’s) population is around 658,000, so this means more than 13% of the city’s population has visited my show.
My gratitude goes to the museum’s director, Gunnar B. Kvaran, who has driven the project forward for the past few years, as well as to the gem of a private museum for deciding to hold my show.
And last but not least, thank you so much to everyone in Oslo!
