German Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer died #onthisday in 1528. He is known for the creation of light, space and texture in his works. This engraving from 1504 showing Adam and Eve is incredibly detailed – especially considering this print is smaller than a sheet of A4 paper. The artist’s name can be seen on the plaque hanging from the branch that Adam is holding – zoom in to see the stunning detail! ?
