Photo by @amivitale. Dedicated wildlife keepers Mike, Joseph, Naomi and Mary with reticulated giraffes Twigs, Mara and Teke at Sarara Camp (@sararacamp) in Northern Kenya. The giraffes visit every morning to check on Lekupania, the man who raised them after they were orphaned, then they return to the wild giraffe herd. Sarara and the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary (@r.e.s.c.u.e) sit on the 850,000 acre Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy. The Samburu community here is proving that conservation can stabilize the economy and protect the entire ecosystem.
