"No Title (An empathic portrait)," is among a group of works #RaymondPettibon created specifically for his New Museum exhibition that reference his own family history and biography. Based on the painting commonly known as “Whistler’s Mother," the drawing reflects Pettibon's free-associative way of thinking by incorporating fragments from art history and popular culture.
