This is probably the first competition in which I took on the approach of an athlete seriously rather than just a climber. I turn 28 in a matter of weeks and it's almost strange that as I get older I want to train harder. I watched my nutrition strictly, followed my training and rest plans more closely than ever. Physically, I felt no fatigue through all the 3 rounds. I know what works (training/nutrition) for me a lot better now

Making Open Finals again was a huge deciding factor in competitive climbing for me, having been in and out of competing last year. To be honest, I don't think I can retire without trying (full on training for) a World Cup first
