Photo @Keith Ladzinski / On January 15, 2009 after US Airways flight 1549 was struck by multiple birds, Pilots Captain Chesley Sullenberger and First Officer Jeffrey Skiles glided the plane into the Hudson River after both engines failed. The incident came to be known as the "Miracle on the Hudson", making aviation history. All of the 155 passengers and crew aboard the plane successfully evacuated from the partially submerged airframe. Captain #Sully and the crew were hailed as heroes. Almost 7 years later, the film #Sully directed by #ClintEastwood retells the story through the eyes of Captain Sully played by @TomHanks and the story revolving around the historic moment and the investigation that took place.
