The World Trade Center memorial pools have become a gathering place for people from around the world. The two pools, each containing a vast empty space, sit within the footprints of the fallen Twin Towers. Lining the pools, etched in bronze, are the names of all those who died on 9/11 as well as those who perished in the 1993 attack. “That is the nature of memorials, that people move on, people forget,” author Judith Dupre told CNBC in the new documentary #GroundZeroRising. “That said, a hundred years from now, we might not know who those people were, but we know they had a name and they mattered.
