Visited the oldest kakigori store in Kyoto - Page One at Gion.

I finished every single mouthful of that huge mountain of super soft shaved ice.

Using real lemon juice, the fresh citrus aroma and flavour were absolute delight and the entire sweetness of the kakigori was perfect.
Such a thirst quencher for the hot summer.
Be prepare to queue during summer periods, I waited for about 1 hr but it was worth the wait.
