Ambassador Archie is on his way- thanks to some extraordinary women who have dedicated their time to transport him from the East Coast to the West!! Archie is a 10 yr old New Guinea Singing Dog who lived as part of a family until they were no longer able to care for him. Primitive dog breeds do not do well in shelters and are difficult to adopt- without hesitation our group requested o adopt Archie- and thus his superstar journey across the country begins today!! Archie's grandfather was imported from Taronga Zoo in Sydney- where the original singers were brought after they left New Guinea.
At the JAB Canid Education and Conservation Center, Archie will be an Ambassador Animal for the Singers and primitive dog breeds. He will help to educate people about the importance of this breed in shedding light on domestication. We will also be using our canids, like Archie for animal assisted therapy programs in a new and unique way- healing animals by healing people!! Depending on how Archie acclimates to his new home- we might have him available at our Preview Party on Aug 6th - but Archie's emotional health is the priority for us...
