In recent decades the hurricane season continues to come earlier and last later with each passing year, with weather continually becoming more unpredictable. The damage is taking its toll in the natural world in bird and turtle nesting areas, and in local communities with continual and forecasted property damage estimated in the billions leaving a lot of question marks for the future of the #OBX.
