The Bass Harbor Lighthouse in Acadia National Park is one of the most beautiful, and most photographed, lighthouses in all of New England. With its idyllic perch above the rocks overlooking the jagged Maine coastline, it is easy to see why. A wide angle lens (at least 24mm, but preferably wider) is needed to capture the rocks below, the lighthouse itself, and (hopefully) that beautiful sunset you were hoping to see. It really is just a perfect setting for that iconic Maine photo.
