Photo by Pete McBride @pedromcbride // India's legendary mausoleum, the Taj Mahal, looms on the south bank of the Yamuna River, a tributary to the Ganges, which winds 1500 miles across Northern India, draining the Himalaya and supporting 500 million people along its way. I’ve spent roughly five years traveling this river, trying to understand it and its lore. I can’t comprehend its mysteries fully, and probably never will. But @Mountainworld and I attempt to give some clarity to its tale in our new film “Holy (un)Holy River". It explores the complexity of this revered and reviled body of water that is sacred yet also extremely polluted. It is a river of song...and sadness.
