Photo by @stephenwilkes: This weekend President Obama will arrive in Yosemite National Park with his family, where they will spend Father's Day weekend. This trip will mark Obama as the first sitting president to visit Yosemite since John F. Kennedy's trip in 1962; the visit will coincide with the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service.
This image was featured on the cover of National Geographic's special issue in celebration of the anniversary. In order to capture the transformation of this iconic view from day to night, I spent 20+ hours photographing from a vantage point above.
