Alice Levitt and I have been great friends since childhood. She is kind, thoughtful, hilarious, intelligent and a very gifted restaurant critic and food writer. She was diagnosed with Lyme Disease at the age of 15 and showed incredible strength, courage and humor during her seven-year battle with the illness. The epitome of brilliance and originality, I have loved seeing the world through her eyes. She recently penned a beautiful and honest piece about her diagnosis and journey with Lyme Disease through memories of the meals she ate along the way.
