Photo by @daviddoubilet A giant petrel paddled across Ocean Harbor South Georgia to inspect my underwater housing. These seabirds are opportunistic feeders that prey on penguin chicks, krill and carrion when they find it. When threatened they can projectile vomit a nasty stomach oil so I was extremely careful not to tick this guy off.
