Today is a big victory for the wildlife community. SeaWorld has announced that it is ending its captive breeding program for their killer whales, thus making the whales in the parks today, the last generation of captive killer whales. While this is a big step to realizing humans are no better than any other animal, it is not the end. There are still many other killer whales in captivity all across the globe living in far worse conditions than those at SeaWorld endure. But where do we go from here? Just at SeaWorld, they house beluga whales, dolphins, polar bears and many more animals that do not get our attention. Will animals such as those be the next "Blackfish" story? Let me know what you think.
