On Thursday, the US Fish and Wildlife Service proposed removing the grizzly bear from the Endangered Species Act. First listed as threatened in 1975, some argue the bear is perhaps one of the greatest conservation successes of the Endangered Species Act while others fear their population is still too small to support management efforts in the form of hunting seasons.
