Photo & caption by @petekmuller. A blues band, Low Society, plays a killer live set on #BealeStreet in, #Memphis, #Tennessee. Some of the most legendary American #blues acts, including WC Handy & BB King, got their start in Beale Street's famed venues. Despite Memphis having gone through some challenges in recent decades, the music tradition remains alive & well with dozens of venues and restaurants lining Beale street and throngs of visitors, even on a Sunday night. I had a blast hopping from bar to bar, eating delicious barbecue and listening to incredible music. Traveling alone, I met no shortage of friendly people who made me feel very welcome, indeed.
