It's the dry season here, but excessive rain this year has water levels higher than they often are even during the wet season. Bringing with it substantially more fresh water further south into the park than usual. It comes with pros and cons, alligators have larger range but so do fish, amphibians and small reptiles making fishing and hunting more complicated for predators. For nesting birds, like the endangered Wood Stork, that rely on the higher ground areas away from watering holes, it's going to be a hard year with limited options. @andy_mann
