“Where was this park and what was the view?” #WilliamGlackens' East River Park (ca. 1902) gives us a look back at the location now known as Carl Schurz Park, located along Manhattan’s Upper East Side waterfront, bounded by East End Ave from E. 84th to E. 86th Streets. The view is of yet another segment of the urban landscape: the industrial waterfront of Astoria, Queens.
