Unagi is one of my favorite iconic Japanese dishes. I generally make a special trip to Nagoya just to eat it! The special regional style differs from others in that the freshwater eel is bbq’d over an open flame with a continuous basting of sweet kabayaki sauce until it reaches a crispy char goodness. One can enjoy this at Himatsubishi Biccho which also has location in Tokyo. Looking at this pic again is making my mouth water! @pichetong #FRtakeover #japan #nagoya
