They can’t sleep at night because of the helicopters following the thousands of refugees coming through the town. Buses couldn't get down the street because of the crowds, so Antonio was unable to go to school for three days.
Residents of Rigonce, a town of 176, had to figure out how to handle the estimated 70,000 refugees who have passed through the village. The migrants—mostly refugees fleeing war and violence in Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq—crossed over a bridge from Croatia into Rigonce, Slovenia on their way to Germany and Austria.
