The route name perfectly explains the style of climbing on this alpine test piece. There is a multitude of ways to sequence this cryptic dance up the 80 foot knife blade arête. I was left dumbfounded half the time in terms of what sequence worked best. The main crux was outsmarting the beast and executing each move without error. Every try I thought I knew what I was doing until I found myself swinging in thin air. The joke was not funny until I actually got it ?. I can cross another CO test piece off my bucket list, heal my legs from the 8.4 mile round trip trek which consumed 3 days of efforts, and continue on to the next challenge.
