When life pushes, push harder. I think the best way to do this is to simply do YOU. You don’t owe an explanation to anyone. Simply do what makes YOU happy and do whatever you need to get to your goals. Your decisions won’t be settling for everyone. Sometimes, people may call it selfish or a self-centered pursuit. But truth be told, I don’t think self-care and investing time and energy in the most important person in your life (YOU) is a terrible thing. I don’t think it’s vain; I think it simply makes you indestructible.
This is a mere reminder, to you, and to myself, that life can blur tracks that were once so clear. Don’t settle for these distractions. The opinions of others, whether good or bad, will only take you so far. The acceptance of meritocracy will only undermine your true potential. Don’t settle.
