Opening tomorrow at the Guggenheim, our retrospective on renowned Colombian artist #DorisSalcedo now occupies all four levels of our Tower galleries. Over the past three decades, Salcedo's practice has addressed the traumatic history of modern-day Colombia, as well as wider legacies of suffering stemming from colonialism, racism, and other forms of social injustice. Her 2012 “A Flor de Piel” made of painstakingly stitched together rose petals was created in homage to a nurse who was tortured and murdered in Colombia. Photo: David Heald (@dmheald)
