A: In March 2015, we had our first-ever InstaMeet – with a twist – an “Instameet on the Move”. We paired up influential Instagrammers from the US with influential Instagrammers in the UK. We felt that having a ‘local’ showing the US Instagrammers around and where to take the best photos was a good way for them to explore the country. We also felt that having the UK Instagrammers involved was a nice way of saying thanks to them for sharing their photos with us. There were four pairs of Instagrammers travelling around London/England, South West England, Scotland and Wales, then they all met in central England where we hosted an InstaMeet as part of Instagram’s WorldWide InstaMeet. During the week of the InstaMeet, we were included as one of Instagram’s suggested users which has helped us to get the followers that we have. We also promote our channel on Facebook and Twitter. For this year we aim to reach 500,000 followers, so watch this space, as we’ll ramp up our efforts and engagement to achieve this goal. ________________________________________Q: How do you measure your brand influence on Instagram? A: For the time being, we’re basing our performance on number of followers, likes and comments. We also like to see when our followers @ tag their friends in the comments, to give an indication of reach and shareability.
