It's not #PurpleBlob material, but it's still good news for the East Coast. An inverted trough tracking around the southern periphery of Atlantic high pressure will send fun, lower period ESE swell/windswell to much of the East Coast over the weekend. Surf will be strongest for the exposed breaks in Florida through the Outer Banks with 2-3-4' surf and a few larger peaks for the standouts. Many regions will see onshore winds over the weekend but conditions should be manageable, especially when you think of all the clean, but only 1' summer-days ahead.
