Hating my body would never pave the way to loving it.
By believing that my body encompassed the inner tension I felt, I withered away for a peace of mind that I never got. I fought the skin I wore, and this only perpetuated greater remorse.
But these inner battles weren’t buried in my bones. They were merely mental bends I fed off of by the disorder’s devious schemes.
In realizing these distortions, I approached recovery last year with one goal in mind - to express unconditional acceptance towards myself. And this meant honoring every moment of my journey. In every attempt, I learned to appreciate my struggles, and to accept them as blessings that have saved my life in more ways than one.

From hospital walls to leaving wheelchairs behind, I love these stages;

they facilitated the growth that I wear today 💜 -- To my #EdSoldiers
I cannot define your recovery for you. The journey that ignites your own growth is derived from inherent encounters. It is within you. Experience what makes your heart happy, and have the courage to let it roar.
