Announcing the first ever #journeytoindia scholarship!!! When I was 23 years old I traveled to Mysore, India for the first time to meet Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois. It was the first of over 15 trips to India and has changed my life. Only with the support and financial help of my parents was I able to make this journey. I’ve dreamed of providing the financial support to a young aspiring yoga student to walk down the same inspired path of yoga that I did. Now, in collaboration with registered 501(c)3 charity @yogisheart you can help make someone’s dreams of going to India come true. We are creating the first ever "Journey to India scholarship" that will award one person per year a full scholarship to support one month’s study at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute. We hope to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of airfare, housing, tuition and living expenses. Scholarship will be awarded based on merit and financial need through a board reviewed application process.
