Made an important announcement today in the nations capital with these brave women next to me who have all been victims or lost loved ones to unintentional shootings by children. It's time to #BeSmart and talk about gun safety and responsible gun ownership. I'm sure the comments below this post will be all over the board but as a mom I am doing my best to protect my babies! No one wants to take away someone's rights, we just want #Gunsense! Get involved and start talking about being SMART-

R= recognize the risks of teen suicide
T= talk about it with other parents
We secure our pools, make them wear helmets, cover our power outlets, ask about allergies; why don't we ask if someone has a gun and how it's secured before a play date? @everytown @momsdemandaction
