Seconds after balancing the snow block on its forehead, the bear then went to sleep with it, holding it like a teddy bear. Polar Bears, perhaps more than any other species that I have had the pleasure of spending time with in the wilds have always surprised me and have shown me something amazing. They are incredibly intelligent and powerful animals but are also at the mercy of our behaviors as sea ice continues to disappear due to warming temperatures in the polar regions. I cannot fathom that this entire species may disappear by 2100. We must alter our carbon impact on this planet now by finding cleaner forms of energy.
