I was going to work this morning to train my clients in Manhattan, loaded up with lots of stuff, cause i’m going to be working tonight till 8 pm, lap top in my bag, cause I’m always working while on the train, few studying books as well, cause i read if i have time between clients. So as I’m walking to the train station, some young man about 30 years old is asking me to swipe my card for him to get in the subway. I passed by, he followed me and said “THANK YOU” and kept asking others about the same favor. So it got me thinking about it, don’t get me wrong, if someone is in trouble and desperately needs help I will offer my help, even if I don’t know the person, but when someone, who is actually capable to work, has two arms, two legs , pretty young and healthy and asking for money this gets me thinking “ Why don’t you go to work????” You may say “Maybe he can’t find job” , i won’t believe it. I moved to this country with nothing ( no money, no experience, poor english) and I always had a job, ALWAYS. I never asked for money, was never looking for a rich man to take care of me. I was basting my ass at work every day! And trust me, not every job was pleasant. I was working as a bartender for 7 years in NY and before i got knowledgeable and experienced enough to work at fancy NY night clubs and fine dining restaurants I had to serve bunch of drunk guys at some shitty Brooklyn bars till 4 am and take a train home after work, because i was saving up every singly penny. While others were wining and crying about the fact they couldn’t find the job, i was just going out there and look for it and when i didn’t get what i wanted i was taking whatever i was offered. Yes, the job wasn’t great, but i could pay my bills and get a metro card and food etc. I’m speaking from my experience and i believe that if you are looking for something you will find it, but in order to do so you have to get your ass off your couch and look. No opportunities will come and knock your door and before you get to do what you like and get a nice job you might have to struggle a bit. Its life, nothing is easy, but everything is possible #AnyaStar #motivation
