In 2002 before Harmful If Swallowed (the album that change my life) hit store shelves (officially - not the version I was selling out of my car and at shows). I was in China bored in my hotel room when I decided to create digital fliers as I called them. No one did this shit at the time and I remember certain unnamed people giving me shit for using the Internet to "pander" and promote to people. Ha.
I was so thrilled to finally be on store shelves and online when only 8% of sales were online purchases. Wild West shit.
The kitten in the picture was my gfs named El Tigre and it was the only pic I had on my IBM Thinkpad that I could download off the 56k modem connection I had in Beijing.
I used the original Photoshop to make my sweater and face look like I was transporting to this bland room.
Harmful If Swallowed coming soon. Hahahaha. Seeing this is making me remember all the game changing stuff I did back then and it's the the way the world works today. #ProudToBeAnInternetBaby
