Day 3 #LetsGETFlexyIn2015 is Parivrtta Surya Yantrasana (Compass Pose). This is perfect for getting the flexibility in the hips, hamstrings and lower back for getting your leg behind the head or for deepening your splits. Engage the pelvic floor, draw the lower belly in and keep both sitting bones planted to create a stable foundation. Draw the head of the femur into its socket while firming the quadriceps and pointing the toe of the extended leg. Slide the torso forward of the thigh but avoid twisting too much.
