Image by @beverlyjoubert who is part of National Geographic's Women of Vision exhibition currently on at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre in downtown west Palm Beach, FL. Two lionesses in the Selinda Reserve with six cubs between them need to hunt. They've choosen to cross a very deep channel despite there being a number of hippos and crocodiles in the water. Even if the cubs were bigger, this would be a dangerous crossing for all of them. But the lions must eat and they've decided that this is the best route to take.
