Here is my new technique for dealing with obstacles: ask for guidance and take no action until you get a clear response and the way forward is revealed. Then my job is to follow. The bigger the obstacle the less action on my part seems to be appropriate. This goes against the grain of what my natural tendency is. I'm a fighter, when things don't go my way I either want to dig in and stand my ground or quit and give up. Asking for guidance and being patient are part of a new strategy. Try it out and let me know how it works. For me the choice between struggle and surrender is easy. Spend your life fighting for your will or let go and let God lead you.
