Sky full of stars on the summit of Mt. Washington with a bone chilling temperature of minus -22 degrees Fahrenheit below zero (-30c) and wind gusts over 60mph !! Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288 feet (1,917 meters) located in New Hampshire. It's famous for it's dangerously erratic weather and is nicknamed "Home of the World's Worst Weather". For 76 years, until 2010, the weather observatory on the summit held the record for the highest wind gust directly measured at Earth's surface, 231 mph (372 km/h) on the afternoon of April 12, 1934.
