Nearly 12,000 years ago Neolithic man emerged from the ice age and looked to these heavens for inspiration. What did they see or feel here that compelled them to construct the first monumental architecture on Earth. This first temple is now known as Göbekli Tepe. Standing under the night sky in the shadow of these great monolithic pillars was one of the greatest experiences that I've had in my life and is still to this day one of the most humbling.
