#ThrowbackThursday In 1996, Leica Camera introduced the Leica S1 camera. Coming in at a very high resolution (for 1996) of 26 megapixels, this camera featured a square scanning sensor. Due to the nature of this type of sensor, the camera always had to remain stationary when taking images.
