Last chance—#Kandinsky in Paris, 1934–1944 closes today, featuring works produced in the last 11 years of the artist's life, when he settled in the Parisian suburb Neuilly-sur-Seine. The late paintings it presents are characterized by whimsical biomorphic imagery drawn from diagrams of primitive cellular forms and pastel hues reminiscent of the colors of the artist’s Russian origins.
