Repost from my homie @brooklyndom68 I rarely wear hats ... But this one from @トラヴィス・バーカー and @lukewessman has such a powerful saying and in some ways a personal mantra ... I've accomplished so much in my life .. Accomplishments that as a teenager was told I couldn't achieve due to me being a highschool drop out and also losing my mentor .. Ernest J DeLuca .. My loving father at the age of 16. Everything I have was because of hard work and aligning myself with good people. People who backed my thoughts and dreams and stood behind me in case I fell. But they didn't give it to me .. It was and still is "self made" and " dues paid". I've paid so many dues in my life .. And to be honest .. Wanted to throw in the towel. Seeing some of my peers and acquaintances achieving greatness with help from me in their early stages of their careers to their ass kissing and cluster fucking each other in a small circle .. Something i would never do .. I have something called heart and integrity .. Doesn't matter if I don't have my house in the hills or my Bentley or Ferrari .. Yet ... I will enjoy it when it's my time. I will get it by still paying my dues and it will be self made ... Never let anyone crush your dreams and never envy those that flaunt excessive wealth in your face ... It's mostly all glitz but no glory .. And gotten by lowering themselves and kissing ass only to secretly hate those who's ass they're kissing .. They use and look at people like a commodity. Stay gold. And keep striving to achieve your dreams and goals.
